Is it really unlimited and free?
Yes. Z-Image is an open-source model we host. There is no daily limit, no monthly cap, no credit system. Generate as many images as you want.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
One-click sign-in with Google is required to use Z-Image. The account is free, there is no credit card requirement, and once signed in your Z-Image generations are unlimited. We use sign-in only to prevent abuse — not to gate the model.
Are there watermarks on the output?
No. Output PNGs are clean. No watermark, no logo, no overlay.
Can I use the images commercially?
Yes. Z-Image output may be used in ads, ecommerce listings, blogs, social media, and other commercial contexts.
How is this free when others charge?
Z-Image is open source. We run it on our own GPUs. The cost is subsidised by our paid AI video generation models (Veo 3, Kling, Sora 2 etc.). Free images get you in the door — when you need to animate them, that's where we monetise.
What's the catch?
None. The trade-off is quality: Z-Image is excellent but not as strong as Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2 or Flux Kontext on specific tasks (perfect text, complex compositions, exact identity preservation). For top-tier output, use a paid model.
Is there an API?
Z-Image is open source — you can self-host it. We're rolling out a hosted API for developers. Email us if you'd like early access.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Z-Image runs in any modern browser on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. No app install required.
What about NSFW content?
Z-Image has standard safety filters. We don't allow NSFW or harmful content. For SFW creative work, you'll find it very permissive.
